This project is on a waterfront site with views across Tomales Bay. An existing 2 story, deteriorating home was removed from the site and a more appropriately-scaled single story home is planned to sit lightly on the site and open up to the breathtaking views. Two primary suites on either end of the home each have views East and South, and the primary living space is both generous but intimate, achieved through the use of an L-shaped space plan and a step down into the living area.
The use of stone, aged copper and thermally modified wood create a warm palette that settles into the landscape and exudes calmness.
