This client purchased a deteriorating 3 bedroom house and wanted to expand it to accommodate their entire family for weekend retreats to the area. A poorly-functioning layout (the master suite was only accessible through another bedroom), illegal patio conversions, and a lack of connection to the outdoor space meant a complete overhaul of the space plan.
We added a hallway to better define the existing bedrooms, turned 2 bathrooms into 3 still-generous bathrooms, and added a separate guest casita. A new covered patio with a fireplace extends the modest living room and adds year-round outdoor living space.
