This client purchased a simple 2 bedroom house that was built in 2006 and wanted to expand it to accommodate their entire family for summer retreats to the area. The couple, one Scandinavian and the other Japanese, also wanted to bring the aesthetic more inline with their heritages while also opening up more to the spectacular views all around them.
An addition between the existing house and garage, a second addition on the other side, and a conversion of the existing garage doubled the living space and added dedicated rooms for work and music. Modifying the original roofline unifies the old and new while also making the entire home more Scandi-Japanese.
