PINK MOON CABIN JOSHUA TREE, CA
INTERIOR DESIGN, 2017
1 bed · 1 bath · 550 SF
This project was primarily interior design for a renovated 1950's homestead cabin. The client required assistance with permitting and construction management, as well as selection of all finishes, fixtures, furnishings and accessories to make the cabin "rental ready".
Despite the small footprint and tight budget, we were able to create a highly functional and warm space that can comfortably accommodate 4. We drew inspiration from the history of mining in the high desert to create an experience that would stand out in the growing rental property pool.
Local thrift shop and consignment store finds were mixed with new items from mid-priced home goods brands to stay on budget while remaining eclectic and appropriate to the area.
The cabin received it's name from the original pink steel kitchen cabinets that we refurbished, as well as the amazing night skies that the area is known for.
This property is available for short-term rentals here.
